the soulful maestro redefining artistry through interconnected lyrics and heart-exposing melodies.
A captivating stage presence and in-demand vocalist, Kamilah completed a 22-city tour with Grammy nominated rapper-and-activist, Noname (Sundial North American Tour) in 2023, released her latest single, “Electricity” in 2024 before joining a 72-city, multi-continental tour with Irish global star, Hozier, playing percussion, keys, synth and vocals for his Unreal, Unearth tour in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, she looks forward to sharing more from her forthcoming EP, Silver Linings, a six year project reflecting her learnings through a crucial time of personal growth.
An improvisational wizard, she is a founding member of Ray Angry and Stro Elliot’s year-round residency, Producer Mondays at the impressionistic Nublu in New York City. A multi-hyphenated talent, the Bahamas-born singer-songwriter of Jamaican heritage has earned coverage in OkayPlayer, The Tribune, The Nassau Guardian-Pulse, and appeared on Good Morning America and The View, Saturday Night Live, The Colbert Show among others. Her voice has been featured in the scores and soundtracks of HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness, and the Apple TV+ film, Swan Song, where she performed as the singing voice of Oscar nominated actress, Naomie Harris. Kamilah has shared stages with a range of artists including Common, Talib Kweli, Lady Wray, Pink Siifu and others, which reflects her genre-bending abilities.
A holder of a bachelor of arts degree in Visual Arts (York University, Canada) and a graduate degree in Media Culture and Communication (New York University), Kamilah is building on the successes of her debut EP, Learning Curve (2019) and pushing her skill and creativity even further with her forthcoming release, Silver Linings.
“What I make is as eclectic as my family’s tastes,” says the boldly emotive artist. “I want to offer expansiveness and don’t want people to hear these new works and feel far from me.”
